- Seats For Soldiers - For the fifth consecutive year, the Dallas Mavericks and American Airlines are partnered to host Seats for Soldiers on Dec. 13. Mavs season ticket holder Neal Hawks and other Mavs front-row season ticket holders have joined together to provide a special tribute to U.S. military personnel by donating their seats to
wounded soldiers for the Dallas Mavericks vs. Oklahoma City Thunder game.

- 1985 Seattle shot 2-4 FT, setting the opponent record low for fewest free throws made and attempted.
- 1994 Placed Tony Campbell on IR with plantar neuroma in his left foot.
- 2000 The NBA fined Don Nelson $10,000 and suspended him for 1 game for bumping the ref and his confrontation with Karl Malone following his ejection in the 1/6/00 game vs Utah where he was complaining about Malone kneeing Shawn Bradley. Malone was also fined $10,000 for the confrontation with Nelson and for throwing an elbow at Bradley earlier in the game.
- 2001 Don Nelson was released from hospital and flew home to Maui where he would spend a month and a half recovering from prostate cancer surgery.
- 2003 Released Adam Harrington. Harrington appeared in 13 games with Dallas.
- 2006 Assistant Rolando Blackman returned to the bench after missing 2 weeks with pneumonia.
