Justin Anderson (born November 19, 1993 in Montross, Virginia) was drafted in the first round (21st overall) of the 2015 NBA Draft by the Dallas Mavericks.

The Gatorade Maryland Boys Basketball Player of the Year and an ESPN Top 100 recruit, out of high school, Anderson originally committed to play his college ball for the University of Maryland. He changed his commitment and decided to attend the University of Virginia. After a freshman season that saw him appear in 35 games and average 7.6 points he grew as a sophomore and became the ACC's Sixth Man of the Year.

It was his junior season where everything clicked for Anderson. He moved into the Cavs' starting lineup and averaged 12.2 points over 26 games. A fractured finger and appendectomy forced him to miss the final eight games of Virginia's season. He helped lead the team to the NCAA Tournament but was never the same after the injuries and the Cavaliers lost in the tourament's second round. Despite all this Anderson was named second team All-ACC and a third team All-American.

He decided to forego his senior season and declared for the NBA draft where he selected in the first round by the Mavs. He joined Dallas' Las Vegas Summer League squad and made the team out of training camp. He saw his first professional action in the Mavericks' first game of the season. He has split his season between Dallas and receiving more valuable playing time with the NBA Development League's Texas Legends.
