How To Use MavsWiki

This Day In Mavericks History

  • 1987 Signed rookie Jim Farmer to a two-year contract.
  • 1997 Signed Michael Finley to a five-year, $42 million extension with a player opt-out clause before the third year.
  • 2001 Signed Ruben Wolkowyski and Chris Robinson to one-year, non-guaranteed contracts. Robinson would be released before the season started.
  • 2002 Signed restricted free agent Michael Redd to a 4-year, $12 million offer sheet. Milwaukee had 15 days to match the offer. Milwaukee would match the offer October 14 and, thus, Redd would remain with Milwaukee.
  • 2006 Named Popeye Jones to the developmental coaching staff.
  • 2007 Signed Darvin Ham, Jared Newson, and Jamal Sampson to non-guaranteed contracts. All three were released before the regular season began.
  • 2007 Erick Dampier would miss all of pre-season while still recovering from the shoulder surgery he underwent on June 15. He would appear in his first game of the season on November 13.
