This Day In Mavericks History

  • 1994 Announced assistant coach Greg Ballard's contract would not be renewed.
  • 1999 Finished the 1998-99 season with a record of 19-31 (lockout shortened season).
  • 2002 Eduardo Najera suffered a broken right thumb during warmups prior to game one of the Sacramento playoff series, but did play in the game.
  • 2003 In the first round of the playoffs, Dallas defeated Portland 107-95 to take the series 4-3 and advance to the second round.
  • 2011 The Mavs defeat the Lakers, 93-81, in game two of the Western Conference semi-finals. Dallas leads the series 2-0 after winning both games in Los Angeles.
