How To Use MavsWiki

This Day In Mavericks History

  • 1994 Named Kip Motta as an assistant coach.
  • 2001 Mavs TV broadcaster Jim Durham received a full time offer from ESPN. Durham had been broadcasting for Dallas for the past 7 seasons. Mavs radio broadcaster Matt Pinto replaced Durham while Mark Followill replaced Pinto on the radio. Bob Ortegel remained as the TV color man.
  • 2005 Orlando named Mark Bryant as an assistant coach. Bryant had been a member of Dallas' developmental coaching staff for the past couple of seasons.
  • 2007 Reached a 3-year, around $24 million contract agreement to re-sign free agent Jerry Stackhouse. The contract would not be formally signed until after the July 13, 2007 (the July Moratorium (during which free agents could not be signed) ended July 11).
