  • 1980 Pre-season doubleheader to introduce the NBA to Dallas. Philadelphia defeated Dallas 113-108 in the second game, attendance 15,634. Houston defeated Kansas City 128-106 in the first game.
  • 1983 Signed rookie Dale Ellis to a five-year contract.
  • 2003 Utah signed Dallas free agent Raja Bell to a two-year contract.
  • 2005 Greece defeated Germany 78-62 in the European Championship Finals. By finishing with one of the top four spots in the tournament, Germany earned a spot in the 2006 World Championship tournament. Dirk Nowitzki, with a tournament high 26.1 points, was named as MVP of the European Championships.
  • 2006 Signed Dirk Nowitzki to a 3-year, maximum extension (estimated to be worth $59.38 million). Nowitzki was signed through 2010-2011.
