This Day In Mavericks History

  • 1980 Played third of three games in three nights; lost all three. First time to play three games in three nights.
  • 1985 Boston had 46 assists, setting the opponent record for most assists.
  • 1990 Placed Herb Williams on IR with bursitis in his right knee.
  • 1992 Placed Sean Rooks on IR with torn cartilage in his right knee.
  • 1992 Sean Elliott (SA) had 41 points, the 36th time a Mavs opponent had 40+ points.
  • 1999 Activated Randell Jackson and placed Robert Pack on IR with a sprained right ankle. Jackson had missed 16 days (8 games) with a deep thigh bruise. Pack was activated 66 days (28 games) later.
  • 2003 Kevin Garnett (Min) had a triple-double with 35 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. It was the 45th time a Mavs opponent had a triple-double.
  • 2006 Activated Jose Barea and placed Maurice Ager on IL and assigned him to the Fort Worth Flyers of the NBADL. Barea was on IL for two days (one game). Ager was activated 15 days (seven games) later.
