This Day In Mavericks History

  • 1989 - In the 1989 NBA draft, the Mavericks selected Randy White in the first round and Pat Durham and Jeff Hodge in the second round.
  • 1990 - Renounced the rights to restricted free agent Anthony Jones.
  • 1990 - In the 1990 NBA draft, the Mavericks selected Phil Henderson in the second round, with the team's only draft pick that year.
  • 2001 - In the 2001 NBA draft, the Mavericks had no first round pick but selected both Kyle Hill and Kenny Satterfield in the second round.
  • 2003 - Shawn Bradley underwent surgery on his right knee to remove damaged cartilage.
  • 2005 - Reached an oral commitment with Joe Prunty to become an assistant coach.
  • 2011 - Rodrigue Beaubois underwent surgery on his left foot for a lingering problem that limited him to only 28 games in 2010-2011.
  • 2013 - Draft night 2013 saw the Mavs make a plethora of trades throughout the evening, but in the end Dallas came away with Shawn Larkin and Ricky Ledo, neither of whom the team technically drafted but obtained through those trades.
