  • 1987 Midwest Division title banner raised. 11 team records set in 151-129 playoff win over Seattle.
  • 1989 Roy Tarpley had a 20-20 with 20 points and 20 rebounds. It was the eighth time a Mavs player had a 20-20 and the fifth of seven times Tarpley had a 20-20 with Dallas. It was the 24th time a Mavs player had 20+ rebounds and the 10th of 13 times Tarpley had 20+ rebounds with Dallas.
  • 1989 Finished the 1988-1989 season with a record of 38-44. It was the team's first losing season in the last six seasons.
  • 1995 Loy Vaught (LAC) had a 20-20 with 26 points and 21 rebounds. It was the 20th time a Mavs opponent had a 20-20. It was the 36th time a Mavs opponent had 20+ rebounds.
  • 1995 Finished the 1994-1995 season with a record of 36-46.
  • 1997 Fired assistant coach Lanny Van Eman.
  • 2010 San Antonio defeats Dallas 94-90 to take a 2-to-1 lead in the opening round of the Western Conference playoffs.
  • 2011 Despite the Mavs leading by 18 points at the end of the third quarter, Portland comes back to defeat Dallas 84-82 to even the best-of-seven playoff series 2-2.
  • 2016 Dirk Nowitzki passed Elgin Baylor (3623) for 15th place on the NBA's all-time playoff scoring list with a turnaround jumper at the 31.9-second mark of the second quarter in the Mavs home playoff loss to Oklahoma City. He also passed Kevin McHale (1204) for 19th place on the NBA's all-time postseason field goals made list and passed Magic Johnson (1068) for eighth place on the NBA's all-time free throws made list.
