After tipping off the season at home vs. Charlotte, Dallas finds itself staying in the friendly confines of the American Airlines Center the majority of November and December. From the start of the season through the end of December, the Mavericks have just 12 games on the road compared to 19 games at home. Eastern Conference contenders come to town in November as Boston and Miami make their lone appearances on Nov. 8 and Nov. 27 respectively. During December 7-17, Dallas has a six-game home stand, its longest of the year.

February and March find the team on the road a great deal. In fact, Dallas only plays at home three times out of its 12 total games in February. march may be the team's toughest month with a season-high tying 16 total games, nine of them away and a season-high five back-to-backs. During that month, Dallas sees Western Conference foes L.A. Lakers and Golden State two times each and faces San Antonio, Utah, Portland and Phoenix once. At the end of March and into the beginning of April, the team goes on its longest road trip of the year - a six-game/10-day jaunt west playing four playoff teams from a year ago.

The Mavericks have 20 back-to-backs again this season. In total, 11 of them are on the road, six begin at home and conclude on the road and three are away-home. Eight of Dallas' back-to-backs occur after the All-Star break.
