Mavericks Announce 2014 Summer League Roster And Schedule

DALLAS -- The Dallas Mavericks announced their roster for the 2014 NBA Summer League today, headlined by second-year guards Gal Mekel and Ricky Ledo, for a five-game slate played in Las Vegas from July 11-21.

For the second consecutive year, teams will compete in a tournament-style schedule that will crown an NBA Summer League Champion on Monday, June 21. The Mavericks and the Knicks will tip off the 2014 NBA Summer League on July 11 at 1:00PM PT in the first of 67 games played over the course of the 11-day event. Dallas will then face Minnesota on July 12 and Toronto on July 14 before being seeded in a tournament running through the Championship Game on July 21. Each team is guaranteed to play at least five games.

All games will be held at the COX Pavilion and the Thomas & Mack Center on the campus of the University of Nevada - Las Vegas. NBA TV will broadcast the Mavericks' opener against the Knicks on July 11 as well as Dallas' matchup with the Raptors on July 14.

The Mavericks will be spending their ninth summer in Las Vegas. Mavericks' assistant coach Kaleb Canales will serve as the head coach of Dallas' summer league team for the first time. Before the team makes the trip to Las Vegas, a mini camp will be held at the American Airlines Center in Dallas from July 7-10.
