Mavericks Announce Roster And Schedule For Samsung NBA Summer League 2016

DALLAS -- The Dallas Mavericks announced their roster for the Samsung NBA Summer League 2016 today, headlined by returning Maverick Justin Anderson and 2016 draft pick A.J. Hammons, which will compete in Las Vegas beginning on July 9.

For the fourth consecutive year, teams will compete in a tournament-style schedule that will crown an NBA Summer League Champion on Monday, July 18. Dallas will open the preliminary round against eh Miami Heat on Saturday, July 9 at 9:00PM CT. The Mavericks will then face Toronto on July 11 and Boston on July 12, before being seeded in a tournament that starts on July 13 and concludes with the Championship Game on July 18. Each team is guaranteed to play at least five games.

All games will be held at the Thomas & Mack Center and COX Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada - Las Vegas. TXA-21 will air the Mavericks' opener against the Heat on July 9. The ESPN and NBA TV broadcast schedules will be released at a later date.

The Mavericks will be spending their 11th summer in Las Vegas. Mavericks assistant coach Jamahl Mosley will serve as the head coach of Dallas' summer league squad for the first time. Before the team makes the trip to Las Vegas, a mini camp will be held at the American Airlines Center in Dallas from July 5-8.
