Nicolas Brussino (born March 2, 1993 in Canada de Gomez, Argentina) was signed as a free agent by the Dallas Mavericks on July 15, 2016.
Brussino began his career with an Argentinian club team, San Martin de Juarez, where he played from 2010-through 2012.
In 2012, he moved to the Argentinian pro league Liga Nacional de Basquet. In his first season Brussino saw action in 29 games averaging 1.9 points and 1.1 rebounds as his team Regatas Corrientes win the LNB championship.
The next season he improved his numbers playing in 55 games, scoring 6.0 points and 2.6 rebounds. His final season with Regatas Corrientes saw even higher stats as Brussino posted 9.4 points and 3.2 rebounds over 55 games.
The 6'8 forward declared himself eligible for the 2015 NBA draft but went unselected. He decided to return to the LNB playing for Penarol Mar del Plata. In a true breakout season, Brussino averaged 14.6 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.5 steals over 59 games.
It was after the season that Brussino was signed to a free agent contract by the Mavericks.
