1985 Mark Aguirre had 42 points, the 21st time a Mavs player had 40+ points and the 16th of 22 times Aguirre had 40+ points with Dallas.

1990 Start of the 1990-1991 season. Dallas would finish the season with a record of 28-54.

1991 Signed Doug Smith to a four-year contract.

1991 Placed Herb Williams on IR with a sprained left ankle.

1992 Finished the 1992 preseason with a record of 1-6.

1993 Released Morlon Wiley.

1995 Suspended Roy Tarpley.

1995 Placed Donald Hodge on IR after undergoing right thumb surgery.

1999 Start of the 1999-2000 season. Dallas would finish the season with a record of 40-42.

2002 Don Nelson and Donnie Nelson did not attend the Phoenix game due to serving the second of a two-game suspension. The two watched the game at Billy Bob's in Fort Worth and it was advertised as "Join the Outlaws".

2002 Mark Followill and ESPN 103.3 FM won the Katie Award for Best Play-by-Play Sportscast.

2002 Raef LaFrentz suffered a third degree high right ankle sprain early in the third quarter of the Phoenix game. He would miss the next 13 games due to the injury.

2004 Elected not to pick up their 2005-2006 option for Dan Dickau.

2006 Activated Maurice Ager and Pops Mensah-Bonsu and placed DJ Mbenga (strained tendon left foot) and Devean George (stomach illness) on IL. Ager and Mensah-Bonsu were on IL for two days (no injuries). Mbenga was activated two days (one game) later. George was activated six days (three games) later.

2007 Activated Juwan Howard and placed Nick Fazekas (no injury) on IL. Howard had been on IL for two days (one game) (not with team). Fazekas would be activated one day (one game) later.
