TIM THOMAS TO UNDERGO SURGERY

Forward Tim Thomas will undergo arthroscopic surgery to his injured right knee, the Dallas Mavericks announced today. Thomas injured his right knee while working out at his home in Southern California and is scheduled to have surgery on Tuesday, September 22 for a suspected cartilage injury

The surgery will be performed in Dallas by team orthopedic surgeon T.O. Souryal. A timetable for Thomas' return will be set after the surgery.
